Life

To think about the meaning of life is truly a luxury some say,
When one starves at one corner,
The starvation differs for the other at a different corner,
For one to compare his own problems with the other is a thief of joy by itself,
And who taught us to do so
Or is it by instinct we do so,
To compare is different than to be compassionate,
To love is different than to own,
To expect is different than to hope.
Isn’t it enough to know that life is mortal to bring out the gratitude in us,
Why do we toll in spite
Seeking and dreaming for a higher self
While forgetting to embrace the little moments
Of happiness and tears.
So many have come and gone
Yet not one solution for all the miseries
Perhaps it is something we’ve known all the way since time
But failed to understand it when needed the most
And spent the rest of our lives
Trying to live with ourselves for not looking beyond our own needs ~
With love, love❤
